An Industrial Dynamics model was developed for an East Coast trucking company to investigate factors thought to dominate potential growth. The study suggested changes in the firm's operating policies and these were implemented. Implementation was successful. Resultant growth in sales and prof it^ changes in service, capacity utilization and measures of marketing effort indicate that new policies have been useful and validate the model's
